The snow is falling, but I'm holding on to fall flavors for one last weekend. If you're looking for something yummy to make, here are some of my tried-and-true favorites. (forgive my lack of photos. I didn't have my own and don't like to "borrow" from other sites...)
Apple Cake (Smitten Kitchen) This is so simple and wonderful! I make this in a bundt pan and either layer the apples or just mix them in.
Easy Baklava Cups (Food Network) I had a special request for baklava this year but I'd rather relax, so I'm making this variation instead!
Pumpkin Cheesecake with Pecan Gingersnap Crust (Our Best Bites) I made this a couple of years ago and it was a big hit! I think I garnished mine differently, but I'm sure it's good as is.
Rice Krispie Drumsticks (Kellogg's) Everyone loves these! Have your kids help make them- hand forming can take a while.
Stepping away from baking, my mother-in-law makes this amazing, fresh relish. It's such a bright addition to any holiday table!
Cranberry Relish
1 bag fresh cranberries
2 oranges (1 peeled, 1 unpeeled)
2 apples (just cored)
1/2-3/4 c sugar
3/4 c. pecans
In batches, put ingredients in blender and mix together & enjoy!
What are you making for Thanksgiving?
